(Summer Beach Trip: South Padre July, 2010)
So I guess Labor Day weekend, our little tot starting school (eeek!)...all indicators that Summer 2010 is down for the count.
Labor Day weekend, the English clan stopped through town to visit meet Miss Nina Lane and shower our little man with gifts and tons of attention. And provide the sweetest form of entertainment, their one year old Bryce (Brycie to me :)
Porter and I stole a few hours out of day to go on a lunch date and steal a quick dance at the dancehall. We then sent our beloved babysitter home, loaded up our kiddos, and took a dip in the river. It was truly a laborless day. Nothing like plopping your chair in the Guadalupe with your newborn in your arms and a cold one within arms reach. We are a family of water babies, so I hope Nina Lane enjoys it as much as we do! Pretty sure that is why she decided to come in August :)

And alas, Rhett-head started "kids day out." It was one of those things where it seemed like he would benefit much more than me. Rhett is very social, loves to be in the midst of the comotion and chaos- so two days a week, four hours a day seemed like the perfect fix for him. 
Turns out, it's also the perfect fix for me. I get to spend some one on one with our itty bitty, run an errand or two, and get some chores done.
Although I do miss my little helper. (Rhett "helping" me fold diapers).
So long summer, hellow September!

love this post! he is so stinking cute... wish so badly, y'all could just come over and hang out for a while :( i want to hold little Nina Lane! you will love having rhett in school for a few hours- and so will he! Harper and I love that time together! miss your family!! xoxo
I need a kids day out:) Crazy that fall is already here, BUT.....that means it's time to bust out the Fall and Halloween decor. Woo hoo!
