Something to Celebrate!
Six months ago today, Porter and I were on our way to celebrate his 31st birthday when we had to take a major detour:
Six months ago this week, Porter and I celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary over lunch in the hospital cafeteria, trying to keep from tearing up through the meal:
In the six months since then, we have loved loving this little blessing that laughs at the drop of a hat, absolutley thrives around other people, and is growing to be one happy, healthy, and beautiful little girl. Now that is something to celebrate!
Happy half-birthday Nina Lane!
p.s. I just noticed that in this last picture she is laying on the blanket that the hospital staff gave her in the second picture! We are blessed.

Bananas in a Teacup
Baby got her first solid food today: bananas in a tea cup.
To sum it up-
Yum
Yum
Now where's my thumb?

Just like her mom, way more into her oil cloth bib than anything else.

We are gonna have a lot of fun together kid!

Flying By
Porter just returned from a trip this weekend to visit his Dad and brothers at the Gator Bowl in Florida. He said on the flight over, it hit him how easy it was to travel and maneuver the airport sans children. He then said that his next thought was -he would have given anything to be holding a car seat in one hand and a pack-n-play in the other. This time with our kids is really flying by.
Kind of fitting that he came home to a little girl who was just gitty to see him. I really think that no one makes her smile and laugh like Porter.
On that note, I had to throw in a shot of the little guy trotting through the den a couple weeks ago. I look at this and just don't know what to say...
At least he's coordinating.
