We took a weekend trip to Ft. Worth/Dallas area to celebrate some family birthdays and visit my grandmother. As easy of a child as Rhett is- car rides do NOT agree with him. But nevertheless, we got to my sister Kate's in time to help prep for my brother in laws 30th and be entertained by my little niece's dancing. ..entertainment only to be rivaled by Rhett showing off his newly acquired walking skills-
After this trip I have declared a full fledged hunt for a wooden kitchen set. After scouring the Internet and dropping my jaw at the prices, I have actually considered asking Porter to build one, you know... in between remodeling our house and working nine to five..??
Our trip was a whirlwind, but we did get visit with my grandmother Momaw who lives in a home outside of Dallas. Her health is declining and she didn't look as good as our last visit, but she is still sharp as a tack and still witty and funny. We visited about important things in life, like how sad we both are about Diane Sawyer leaving Good Morning America, how Rhett takes after my late grandfather as a boy, and how she thinks he resembles his Swedish relatives. And then she reminds me that Swedes have nothing to do with Norwegians and we should always turn our noses from the Danes. Advice I will surely pass down to my son ;)

YEAH for Rhett on walking! That is awesome! So many people told me life would be so much harder when they walk b/c they'll into more stuff. I think life is easier with them walking b/c they aren't putting there hands all over floors everywhere you go! Let me know what you think!
