Good things happen in threes, right?

In one weekend, we celebrated Porter's 30th Birthday, our 6th wedding anniversary, the same day that Rhett got baptized! Whew!

Porter's birthday party was a complete success, and blast! We had such a great turnout from such great friends and family. And best of all, he was SURPRISED! Even though I told him we would be joining a few friends for cake and ice cream in our backyard after a family dinner, he was onto something since I was not cleaning the house like a mad woman. Oh well, I just didn't have the energy to bluff anymore!

Here is the birthday boy approaching the scene in Gruene! I wish I had a pic. of his face- still awaiting some of our friends' snapshots.

And a ton more pics. from the party. I am so grateful nobody was dripping sweat! Could not have asked for a better night. P.S. I am queen of unposed snapshots- which doesn't make for the greatest pictures, but here they are anyway....

The kiddos enjoyed themselves too. Who needs a jumpy castle when you have a fountain? And a stage? And a pinata!

I am just glad Uncle Bill was there for crowd control as the pinata finally broke :)
Porter and our old neighbor Joe also played a couple tunes. Joe and his wife Valin showed up with a "briefcase full of blues," as they put it, (it was a bag of harmonicas). That was enough to get my husband on stage.

Porter posing with the decor put together by yours truly! It's not the years, it's the mileage.
It was a doubly great night since Rhett went home with my family while Porter and I stayed out dancing till 1 am ! We haven't done that since I was pregnant with Rhett. And sure, the band played some random songs like "Don't fear the reaper" after the lead-singer made a shout-out to his wife (strange), but we had a great time! Happy Anniversary to us!
Speaking of our anniversary, Rhett was baptized by the same priest that married us six years ago to the day! Ripp is a dear friend, it was a great moment!

I was happy to have our family with us for the weekend of celebration, alhtough we were sad to be missing Papa Mike (flat tire) and Aunt Kate, Cousin Ellie and Uncle Cheo (Last minute trip to the doctor):( Rhett looks especially sad, huh?

Rhett's godparents Jason and Kristi pulled double duty with the party and the ceremony- all with their baby boy in tow (due next month)!

Poor guy just wanted his bed.

Needless to say, after this weekend, Los Robinsons are doing a little bit of this...

Thank you God for our many blessings!
